Niagadina is a village located in the south western part of Mali and about 100km from the capital Bamako. The trip from Bamako to Niagadina takes about 2h30mn by car because of it difficult access road.
Early, in morning we left Bamako to Niagadina and we arrived in Niagadina around 10:30am. When we arrived in Niagadina, we found out t the Mayor was unfortunately out of the village, but Mr.Toure the general secretary was expecting us since the day before.
After few minutes at the Mayor’s office we headed out to the local pharmacy, where the installation of the new Cybertigi took place in Niagadina.
Ludovic, Brennan, and I had decided to walk to the pharmacy because it was very beautiful outside, and the distance from the mayor’s office to the pharmacy was not far.
The village of Niagadina does remind me a lot of some parts of northern Maine, because of its beautiful nature.
When we got to the pharmacy, the local manager Ms Diabaté was eager to see us. She has been also chosen to manager the kiosk Cybertigi in Niagadina because of her education background.
After few minutes of greetings and excitement from the local people,
Ludovic started to figure out how to climb on the top of the roof of the pharmacy. One by one a lot people from the village came to assist us on our work.. While Ludovic was installing the solar panel on top of the roof, Brennan and I were teaching the new manager how to use the digital camera.
The digital photo was one of the most exciting things for the villagers and everyone wanted to know how to take pictures with it. When the new manager was training herself on the digital camera, Brennan and I started doing the wiring and at the same time Ludovic was installing the battery,
the whole process was really rapid, and by 3:30pm Cybertigi in Niagadina was up and running.
