Ian Howard, Moussa Keita, and Peter Baldwin made a trip to Yanfolila (150 km south of Bamako, near the Guinea border) in December, armed with cables and routers for partner station Radio Wassoulou.
Yanfolila is in the Sikasso region, which is considered the breadbasket of Mali. Forty percent of the fish Mali consumes come from a man-made lake in the Sikasso region, as well as most of the bananas, mangoes, papayas, and oranges.
